OFFICIAL NOTICE: Y2J is Blacklisted!

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 7, 2009, 1:06 AM

As the title implies I am putting Chris Jericho (Whom I will refer to in this post by his real name Chris Irving.), on a definite blacklist of my works.

This means he will NEVER be in my Inspirational Wallpaper series or any other wrestling Yaoi/Slash works I produce.

Why? This is why ----> [link]

If you can't see it, or are just too lazy to click the link I will give you the shorthand version of how I took it; He used a homophobic, and bigoted epithet that was in total poor taste, then when he made a Faux-pas apology, saying he was more happy to be on TMZ then to be humble about how the power of his own voice could be used to hurt others.

But that is not my major beef. At first when I read that, I was so pissed of. Not because he said a word that any third grader on a recess break could have used with little to no social skill, but rather his apology was so half-assed that it was a skip away from saying he really wasn't sorry at all.

Quite frankly, I think he lied when he said he was sorry. How sorry was he? Was he sorry enough never to do it again? Or was he only sorry that he got on camera, clearly intoxicated and caught making a fool of himself? What are you REALLY sorry for Mr. Irving?

Now, I'm sure some people might not quite get why this is such an issue to me. It's understandable considering that Vinnie-Mac was dumb enough to use the term "That's Gay" on Raw, (Which I made clear in a previous post I was NOT offended by.) So why be offended this time? It's simple to me; he should have just known better. Here's Why;

1) He is an established wrestler who has been in the industry for a couple decades, he is not a dime a dozen jobber, and should have known that eyes would be on him.

2) Because of experience he has given in reason one, he also knew that there were stereotypes about the very industry he works in. Which means that if he wants to perpetuate the image that pro-wrestlers are meat-heads with little to no respect for other people's values(and alcoholics to boot. Don't go to an event wasted stupid!), then he had influence to make that very image possible every time he stepped in front of a camera, by showing some dignity for himself.

3) Sports fans are diverse group of people. When this happens in other sports, such as baseball and football, sometimes there are consequences for those players when they use those terms because they have to follow a code of ethics once they sign a contract (Such as a fine or suspensions.). I'll bet you any given amount of money that Chris Irving is into other sports that have these similar kinds of contracts, also given the fact that his father was part of the NHL, you think somewhere common sense would dictate that SOMEBODY would have told the kid; "Uh, hey. You might not want to go saying that in front of too many people." But it's ok Mr. Irving, I'm sure Vinnie-Mac won't go giving you a slap on the wrist anytime soon, besides, heaven forbid that you DON'T insult anyone to begin with! I mean, that would just be plain no fun right?

I have to think to myself as well here, and say that I know these men in the industry are no angels, between this incident, the Jeff Hardy drug charges drama, and the Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero incidents from years back, its pretty obvious that I shouldn't get so worked up. This is just how some celebrities get their kicks. This is how they enjoy their fun of sorts. This is just how some people cure boredom.

However, I also felt for that what was done here was in no way shape and form positive and constructive on his side, and he was aware of that. I cannot reward that, or just let it slip with a "that's just what they do" kind of mentality.

No this time I am putting him on a Blacklist; a list of people whom I find totally uninspiring and can never be on one of my wallpapers, because they do not meet the requirements of intelligence, dignity, respect (or self respect), positivity, or common sense to make the world a more happier place to live and love in.

Now I'm sure this will generate no tears from anyone... at least I would hope no one would cry over that lol. But I making this not only as a rant, but as an official notice to all of my watchers: Don't expect any Y2J illustrations from me, now or in the future, I will not accept any requests for him either. If I ever do decide to change my mind on this, it would be because he actually DID something inspirational and uplifting. So unless he has a cure for breast cancer and world hunger sometime soon don't hold your
breath.

A 'Bourne' confusion?

Journal Entry: Mon Oct 19, 2009, 6:38 AM

Ok, here is the deal, I just went to Google and typed in "Evan Bourne slash fiction" in the search box. The first result that came up was my own DA page! There is something creepy yet accomplishing about that, being the first name drawn out of the hat.

But seriously, anyone know where I can find some? The usual haunts didn't have anything new posted. If I don't get some, I might have to be forced to (Gasp) write some! Oh noes! (sarcasm)

Assorted entry

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 4, 2009, 5:21 AM

This is going to be one of those assorted topics kinda entries.

Topic 1) The shoutbox

For anyone who sees this right now, PLEASE use my shoutbox! Its so bare and empty... I think I am the only one who uses it!

Topic 2) 3k kiriban?

I didn't do a kiriban for my 2k pageviews because when I made an entry about it there seemed to be no ideas that I could conjure up that would satisfy me. Anyone interested in sharing ideas for this one? I doesn't have to be slash fiction related. I'd like to make this one a free for all if possible. (Wild freaky circus sex anyone? LOL!!!!)

Topic 3) I learned something! YAY!

I finally figured out how to use the pen tool in Photoshop! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO damn stoked about that!

Topic 4) String of G-strings!?!?! WTF?

Anyone who prowls the internet notice that a lot more wrestlers are practically getting stripped of their pants lately? (And literally?)

First a series of Rhodes/DiBiase vids hit the net of them being pantsed (that's not unusual for house shows. Happened to Randy a million and one times lmao.) And now Mark Jindrak has ass shots from his stripping shows in Mexico. Oh and to top it off, Zach Ryder ripped the trunks off of some poor guy and EVERYTHING was showing! I believe it was edited out, and I'm not complaining, but you would think we could just speed the eroticism up a few notches and get back to Tuxedo and Mud wrestling matches? plz-k-thx-bai!

Topic 5) Happy full moon.

Title says it all. I hope I can see it clearly tonight!

Topic 6) A rant on manhood.

I recently saw a video trying to promote Tekken 6 coming out over at Gaygamer.net here -> [link] (I say *Trying* as loosely as possible. Since it had absolutely NO GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE WHATSOEVER!!!) It mostly contained a bunch of MMA fighters spouting off about manhood and why fighting is important. Don't get me wrong if you are into cage-fighting, I have no problem with that. I don't LIKE it, but I tolerate it. (Just as I would ask people to tolerate Gay Marriage, but hey, it doesn't mean they have to like it either!)

But I am straying from topic here. When I saw the video I thought the ideals these guys had was nothing short of immature. (And coming from a perv like me that means something!!!) I have to disagree strongly whenever I hear that manhood involves whooping some other guys ass for fun.

Why?

It's way too linear and one sided. Men are composed of so many more things it could make one really sit back and wonder what we are truly missing in life. Men are not always dominating creatures. We carry ingenuity, observation, curiosity, mechanical skills, sexuality, spirituality, the list could go on. I really believe that maturity and masculinity are only small pieces of the pie that make up what a "Man" is supposed to be. So when I hear some D-bag meat-head trying to talk down to someone in order to validate himself I have to wonder: "Is this why the male gender as a collective is so stereotyped as stupid?"

Oh, and I'm not going to by tekken 6 anytime soon, maybe I'll buy it used at EB sometime in a few years hehe.

Topic 7) I have a question!!!!

I'd like to know to anyone out there what places or haunts you go to to get your fix of slash. I usually find a Livejournal group here and there. But If there are other places, I'd be curious to know. GIVE ME INPUT!!!

Topic 8) My last poll.

I normally do not count my own votes for my polls, I only vote so I can see the results (Isn't that messed up?! :?) So there is another tie again! Everyone liked both ideas I had! Thank you so much! I have ideas for making strips for both "Slash and the City" and "Gakuen Evan"

Topic 9) Thank you so much!

this entry is now officially over! Thank you for playing our game! (INSERT COIN) lol j/k :XD:

Why I think Slash Fiction is important....

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 8, 2009, 2:39 PM

Just recently on a gay oriented blog I usually read from time to time, I heard of a complaint from one of the editors about WWE monday night RAW. Apparently, during the episode of "Vince's Birthday", a bunch of girls came out dressed in vivid color outfits (sans Vegas/Show girls style) and I guess he said something along the lines of "That's so gay" or "That's kinda gay".

I personally did not catch that episode and was not offended, the editor of this particular blog however, was. He made it quite clear that these were two hundred pound muscle guys who wear next to nothing, use oil, and put them selves in homoerotic situations, and somehow, Vinny-mac had forgotten about that aspect.

Although his rant was a good laugh, it did get me thinking hard about some things.

For example: Why do these men wear so little and why must the stories be so dramatic? Does not the drama itself, inspire imagination? Is what the WWE and other promotions produce just for the sake of profit? Or was it meant to actually inspire us on some level?

thats when it hit me; I finally understood why the slash community exists.

We use the wrestlers as mediums just like promoters use them as workers.

Authors of slash write with the intent to use the given person as a image to reflect some higher (or in some cases smutier) form of expression. This might sound like a confusing concept at first, so follow if you can. If you take a good look at the diverse type of men that work in the WWE, you will see that there are so many that reflect what most authors want to express and be inspired by. They are not only actors of stage in real life, but also to slash writers.

Their image is used with purpose; to express an emotion, perhaps is loving, caring, sexual, spiritual, or even violent. Sometimes it's used as a means to express ones own previous trauma. Fans of wrestling see it as a sport, of heroes that entertain us. The difference between them and Slash authors, is that the slash community has the ability to peel away the layers of vanity in order to toggle with the rubix cube of that particular wrestlers' mind. A good writer will think; "Hmmm, what kind of human being is he really like underneath?" "What kind of fears, of pains does this person have."

Still sound too confusing for you? Ok, let me simplify it:

Slash writers have the ability to take an industry plagued by drama and turn into a message of love. Does that sound "Gay" to you? It should, as a matter of fact it DAMN better be!

Why? Because people on a conscious level are sometimes scared to love, therefor Pro-Wrestling on its own merit's as an industry does not fix that. Now enter Slash authors; the secret underground society of people who carry a hidden message that businessmen like Vinny-Mac can't convey. It's the same message that causes wars, its the same message that drives the world as it is today, it is the same message that got Jesus himself crucified: what is it?

It is the message of love...

As corny as it sounds, that is what drives me to do what I do, and what so many others out there do as well. By using a particular wrestler as a medium to convey our feelings, we get to release a side of ourselves that we cannot normally share. A side that scares people, but yet can be one of the nurturing processes that an author can do for his/her own self.

Is Slash fiction gay? Yep, but if that is all you see, then you miss the bigger picture. That is why Slash is important. The direction we take the characters in reflect us. So the slash community must convey these things on the internet, like the underground railroad; keeping the freedom of love a secret, shown only to those who find the way with the same heart... or perversions, give or take.

New poll and rant!

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 18, 2009, 5:18 AM

Ok so I made a new poll today because I about two months ago :iconluckyratdx: and I couldn't decide who on earth would be the ideal slash partner for our little Evan. (Well, besides ourselves that is lol.)

I also got ahold of some fake photoshopped pics of Centon in XXX action on someones livejournal page, and I must say, you can tell some of them are doctored up because the heads do not match the bodies lmmfao. However some of them look really... good. Kinda scary. They aren't safe to post a link to here so if anyone wants the link just send me a note. I feel as though its my duty to share that Centon booty. (yeah corny phrase so sue me.)

Lastly I just watched RAW for the first time in months. I was not impressed to say the least. Looked like the same storyline I've seen over and over again. I am beginning to wonder if I am over wrestling all together. Although I saw the Gail Kim vs Mickey James match and felt so bad when they bungled up the end of it. ><; Yikes...

Well, Gail looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL, so I think I can let it slide lol. :D
