)Ok so here is the deal. I make no bones about how I love playing Final Fantasy XI (FFXI), and on the server I play on (Ironically called the "Fairy" server.), there are a casual group of gay men and women I play with so we don't have to put up with the typical anonymous homophobic, douche sticks. Now this happened a few days ago, and I'm still stewing over it. A conversation started in the chat box that went a little something like this:
(Guy #1): I haven't been laid in a year
(Guy #2): I have you beat, I've never been laid before.
(Guy #1): Orly?
(Guy #2): Yeah I'm still a Vir-gyn
(Me): Yeah me too. I just don't believe in having sex before marriage.
(Guy #3): pre-req? Rly?
(me): Yeah it's just not me.
(Guy #4): I need sex before marriage >_>
(Guy #1): Yeah, but what if the sex is bad?
(Guy #4): I agree with (Guy #1) I at least want to feel something back there!
(Guy #1): What if he has a small dick and you don't feel anything.
(Guy #2): I have need for intimacy.
(Guy #4): I usually stop seeing them when they start to fall for me.
I'm going to stop there because the conversation went off into penis sizes of some of the partners they've had :rolleyes:. I was a little offended because they seemed to not understand what kind of guy I am. I felt like Guy #1 took a potshot at my dignity a little as a man.
Don't get it twisted, I have no problem with sex, or being sexual/exuding sexuality (you all should have figured that out just by seeing my works
) but some of us are looking for something a little more than getting off. The whole reason I don't want to have sex before I'm married is simple: I want a strong man to be mine, and a weak man who lives to get a nut is not the man I need. It has nothing to do with feeling impure or religious dogma's, but if someone who respects me by showing me he is willing to wait, shows me he is willing to commit to me by going through an entire wedding ceremony in front of his peers with me, then that will prove to me his is a STRONG man, and respects my spirit as well. And that is what I feel we don't have enough of in the male gender. Regardless of their sexuality, I feel that there are just not enough strong men out there. (oh and FYI: Guy #1 also has a picture he posted of himself in a leather harness on the website we use to communicate when we are not in game :rolleyes: So you know what he is after! LOL.)So I just wanted to put that out there, especially for the gay men who might feel a little insecure about themselves at times because they aren't having sex by a certain age or they are being pressured into keeping a man because of it. We have to keep in mind that we also don't have a incredibly large dating pool like straight people do. (they statistically outnumber us 10 to 1 !!!) So we have to look farther and longer sometimes before we stop kissing frogs. And if that means you need to save it until you are damn near 80, then so be it! Do not ever settle for second best, and not ever do anything that you feel will make you unhappy. There is nothing wrong with trying to get what you want, every other man will try to get what he wants to, so keep your back straight and your head up!
Because when it comes to men; there are Pros and then there are Ho's. Lmmfao!
(whew) Ok now i feel better LOL.
Rant over- now I can go back to making my next wallpaper. (Starts singing to himself : "If you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it...")

Anyways, that's a good rant and you're basically right. It's better to wait until marriage, but well in some cases or more like states, same-sex marriage isn't possible just yet. Still though, it's a shame that the gay community only really cares for is sex and getting off. Instead of trying to prove the world that we're not that stereotypical image we get portrayed as, they do the exact image that it sorta sickens me.
Which is why whenever I get famous, or at least infamous, I would try to show the world that not all gays are the same. As for the guys who you talked to in the game, you should try to scare them with the STD and HIV/AIDS threat or be very knowledgeable about it. As for Guy's 1 picture, all I really have to say to that is: alrighty then o.o''...

And I completely agree with you that marriage is NOT for everyone, it's actually sometimes smart for a person not to get married sometimes. However I felt this guy was just using sex as the measuring stick (no pun intended

Even though same sex marriage may not be possible everywhere, that doesn't mean the ceremony of commitment and harmonizing two people in a spiritual/soulful unison is irrelevant. (The state isn't my baby-sitter and won't tell me who I can or can't marry.) It also doesn't help that the gay media at large has to use sex to sell everything to us and get our money. (Look no further than gay pride with 20 guys dancing in underwear on the Absolut Vodka float lol.)
It's not that I have a problem with sex, I just had a problem with him mocking my belief for myself. He has my Divine Blessing to be promiscuous, but if he thinks that his relations are any more fulfilling than mine just because he gives it up, he needs a reality check!
And kudos for bringing up the topic of HIV too. We men really need to be protective of ourselves even more since statistics come out more and more often about how its spreading faster (Especially among Black and Hispanic men!)
But I'm feeling great now, and even stronger than before, and I know I will get what I want if I keep that strength alive! Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, seriously. The gay media does use sex as an advertisement to get what they truly want, which helps boost the stereotypical image even more which just leads to more horny gay men just wanting to get off instead of finding true love.
Don't let that one guy sink into your skin too much. One day he'll realize that sex isn't just everything like it was back in the day.
